Family...Let's Talk About It!

We had another powerful night in Discipleship Training! As we engage our thought for this Friday's discussion, we will move from Superman and lift up The Matrix! In a dialogue between Morpheus and Neo, we gain insight into what the growth of Neo's journey would look like:

Neo: What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?
Morpheus: No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to!

Morpheus was confident in the fact that Neo would one day walk into a lived reality that he could not see for himself. As he grew into who he was becoming, Neo was still bound by the limits of understanding that had formed him existentially. He was experiencing a new sense of power, but could only think of using it in the context of his understanding of reality (dodging the bullets). However, Morpheus opens the gate of his possibilities by letting him know that one day, as he learned more about the power at work within him, the amazement that comes with the ability to dodge bullets will be overshadowed by his ability to stop them from coming!

The question for us today is what steps are we empowered to take that our limited scope is suppressing? What good is it to embrace a God who is not defined by our reality, have His power that is not contained by our reality, but seek to limit His movements in our lives to the boundaries of our reality? It is time to break some chains in our lives and begin waking up to and walking in our power....let's talk about it!
